Third Grade!

Need we say more?!

this past summer.....

This summer was a doozie! Here's a little re-cap of the great things we did:

We went on our annual Adventure with Poppop and took a ferry ride to get there! It was Bobby's first time on a ferry and he couldn't believe that we got to drive the car onto the boat!

We spent alot of time in back-yard pools! If it was hot, we were wet and often with a group of friends! (Mommy got to hang out with her friends too!

We went to the county Fair again this summer! We never tire of seeing the animals - especially the babies! As you can see from the wet shirt, this year was a stormy visit!

We took our annual family vacation to the beach - Bobby practiced casting and even put some bait on his hook - but all we caught was seaweed!

We took a quick trip with friends to Virginia and Washington DC! We had an amazing time and learned alot too! It was really hot, but it was worth it! We really walked our legs off, but in the end we were glad to see all the amazing sights!

We also made it down to the beach with Grandmom and Grandpop again this year, but Mommy hasn't found those pictures yet - we think they're on the other camera!

We had an amazing summer!

The March of Dimes Walk!

We walked, and walked and walked! 6 1/2 miles! Bobby was a trouper and did the whole thing without too much complaining! It was alot of fun and hot, but fun! We'll certainly do it again next year!

Invention Convention!

Bobby had to pick an inventor or invention to hilight for the Invention Convention at school - he chose Thomas Edison and did a really good job with it! He got a certificate and a ribbon and we got to see alot of other projects too. The Franklin Institute sent a presentor and we learned cool stuff about science. It was a great night!

Another Snow Day!

Bobby got to play hookie from school again (oops!) and play in the snow! It was a nice, fluffy snow and Bobby and his new snow gear had a blast!!!!!

One Tired Little Man!

Bobby had a very busy Saturday! He had his First Penance ceremony at church, then a movie and dinner with Grandmom and Grandpop! From there we went to a friend's house and played until late at night - too late, obviously! Bobby took advantage of the ride home to catch a couple zzzzz's!!! A sure sign of a successful Saturday!

Some Fun in the Snow...

We had a snow day last week, and Bobby got a chance to play out back for a while! He rolled around in the snow, crawled around in the snow, kicked balls in the snow, and probably his most favorite snow-day activity, he ate the snow! Most importantly, he had fun in the snow!

It's a Cat's Life!

Molly and Luna are both still recovering from their recent surgeries - they were both declawed and little Luna was spayed. Since Luna is younger, she bounced back faster than Molly, who's still walking with tender piggies! It certainly looks like they agree that it's naptime! This is the first time they've been spied SHARING the kitty bed!

Nightly Ritual...

Each night we all sit (or lay) on the couch to watch Jeopardy! Bobby doesn't know the answers, but finds it quite funny when Mommy and Mr. Jim try to answer! (Looks like Mr. Jim just got one wrong!)

Santa Claus is Comin' to Town!

Mommy decided that this season of all of them is worthy of a couple broken bedtimes - all the holiday shows are on at 8:00! So Bobby gets to stay up a little later some nights to watch... last night was Santa Claus is Comin' to Town! Luna curled up to join in the festivities!

Go Phillies!

One of Mommy's friends from work actually WENT to a Phillies Playoff Game and brought Bobby back an official, numbered pennant! How cool is that???!!!

Halloween 2008

Ok, I'm getting around to it......!

Halloween was alot of fun this year! Bobby dressed up as Mr. Bones (this may be the last year for the "Mommy Made It" costume!)

There was a parade and party at Bobby's school so he got to celebrate with all his classmates. Mommy did take quite a few pictures, but mostly all of them had someone else in the picture, so I didn't think it appropriate to post.

My Bottlecap!

Molly has discovered her "inner-kitten" since Luna came to the family, and now, like Luna, Molly thinks everything is a toy. Although we don't usually leave bottlecaps around, one got away from us and Molly claimed it as her own. She was very protective of it last night!

Bathtime...

Molly and Luna were enjoying a little bathtime together - except I think Luna was the only one getting clean! Why do it yourself when big sister can do it for you???!!!

Fall is Surely Here!

Grandmom and Grandpop took Bobby to visit Storybook Land over the weekend. The weather was beautiful and the whole park was decorated for Fall and Halloween. The colors of the flowers and decorations were beautiful! Bobby got to decorate and bring home his own little pumpkin. And, of course, ride the rides - some of them twice!

Kitten Toys!

Everything is a toy to a kitten! Bobby was trying whole-heartedly to get his shoes tied this morning so we could get on our way, and Luna had a different idea entirely! Kittens see everything as an adventure, and this was too good to pass up!

Luna and Molly have finally become friends, and occasionally Molly gets down to Luna's kitten-level and plays like a kitten too! It's cute!

So on our way out the door this morning, we fould Luna laying against the door trying to keep us in! I'm sure she'll find something to occupy herself today without us!

Yes, we're crazy!

Sooooo, Friday after spending time with his cousins, Jim came home and said he found us a kitten. A KITTEN! I could hardly believe my ears! We had casually talked about getting Molly a companion for the daytimes when we're all at work and the house is empty, but we weren't really serious. Hmmm. So, Saturday we went to get "Luna".

Luna was found with her brother and sister in a drainage ditch that was filling up with water. The mommy kitty was nowhere to be found and Jim's cousin bottle fed all three until they were weaned. Luna has a stubby tail, which we're not sure if by accident or birth defect. If by defect, she could be a Manx cat. The jury's out on that. In the meantime, Molly's not too sure. She was VERY unhappy the first day, then just mostly unhappy the second day. By this morning they could be found in the same room together, but still not getting along. We'll see how this works out. If it doesn't work, Luna goes back to the farm to be with her siblings and Molly gets her house back and our little experiment bombs.
