We made our annual swimming visit at Aunt Nita's right before school started, and boy, what fun! Both boys had a ball and Bobby ventured up onto the diving board all by himself! He's becoming quite the little daredevil!

To the Beach Again!!!
Motorcycle Baby?
Should Mommy be worried? Not really, Bobby's just getting a feel for it, and Mr. Jim has offered Bobby a ride when he gets MUCH bigger.....
A Week at the Beach!
This year Bobby, Mommy and Mr. Jim took off for a whole week to go to the beach! We've never done that before, and it was well worth it! Most of the time we just relaxed - read books (Mommy read 2!), went to the beach, fished, went out to eat, and just plain hung out. It was the vacation we all needed. We did do some sightseeing in neighboring towns...
Believe it or not, Bobby's a pretty good miniature golfer! He got really close alot of times and actually got a hole in one!
Bobby tried his hand at boogie boarding - and really got the hang of it! He looks like a pro already!
We spent quite a bit of time practicing our fishing skills - ok, mainly casting. Bobby did great! He's a real natural!
Of course, it wouldn't be a trip to the beach without a morning at the boardwalk! Bobby got a wristband for unlimited riding power and surely got his money's worth!
We had amazing weather all week - and plenty of wind for some kite-flying!
We can't wait to go back next year!

Our New York Vacation
This year Poppop took us to New York for vacation - specifically Rhinebeck and Hyde Park. We had a wonderful time! We had some new experiences and tastes - Mommy AND Bobby! We did some shopping, wine tasting, sightseeing, and eating. I can't decide which was my own favorite, but Bobby's was the plane ride... check out the photos!
We went to the CIA (Culinary Institute of America)
in Hyde Park, NY
The grounds are amazing and the buildings are beautiful old architecture. In the students' courtyard was a fountain with a dozen spouts - Poppop tried to get Bobby to run through them without getting wet, but Bobby wasn't falling for it!
This is a picture of Bobby and Mommy before dinner - we went to the Restorante Caterina De' Medici which is an Italian restaurant in a magnificent Tuscan villa setting. We had amazing meals all prepared and served by students.
We spent our Saturday at the Rhinebeck Airshow. There was quite an education and show about all the vintage airplanes that are kept at the airport. We spent some time convincing Bobby that it was all an act... I think he's still processing it all!
We took a ride in a BiPlane! It was an awesome experience! It was loud, and he buzzed over the Hudson River SIDEWAYS! Bobby was a trooper and thought the whole thing was a hoot!
We visited a winery on Sunday (after shopping!) and Bobby got to taste a wine - and feed the baby goats! I've had cats that were bigger than this goat and just as friendly! This little goat let us all hold him and pet him and he nibbled anything he could reach - shirts, hair, collars - anything! We probably spent $2.00 in quarters feeding all the goats in the pen! Oh, yeah, and the wine was good too!
On Monday we drove home in a torrential rain storm, but still managed to stop at a Mega Liquor Store and buy "some" wine while we were there!
We had another AMAZING vacation with Poppop! We can't wait to see what adventure he takes us on next year... !
Baby Cows!!!!
We all went out to our friends' local farm and met their brand new twin calves, a boy and a girl. The mommy cow is still nursing the boy, but doesn't seem to care to nurse the girl, so Bobby and Mr. Jim got a chance!!!

Happy 7th Birthday Bobby!
Bobby had a lucky birthday this year - not just that it was number 7, but that it fell on the day we celebrate Memorial Day, so he had a day off of school. One would think this would be a bonus, but Bobby was actually upset that he wouldn't be with his classmates on his real birthday. I guess a 7-year-old had different priorities than a grown-up! He had a wonderful weekend with his grandparents and family!
