Our Trip to Maine!

We had a wonderful week in Maine with Poppop! Even though it was VERY hot at home, it was a comfortable 65 degrees there with an occasional shower that didn't really bother us much.

The ride was LONG! But we finally got there and were very excited!

We got to look at some boats in Bar Harbor. The view was spectacular! We looked for beach glass on the shore and brought some home with us.

And of course we got to eat lobsters, which is what everyone does in Bar Harbor. But MMMMM they were good!!!!!

On the way home we stopped in Mystic Seaport, took a swim in the pool and had dinner. The next day before we left, we went the the aquarium and saw alot of fish and penguins, and got to feed the birds in their screened-in sanctuary. It was awesome!

Fishing!

We went fishing at the pond and Bobby caught a Sunny! We didn't have very good luck that day, and it was really hot and sticky. We had alot of fun watching the family of ducks swimming around and being fed by another family. Maybe next time we go to the pond we'll feed the ducks instead of fishing!

The Airshow!

We took a ride to the Airshow in town - the Blue Angels were there and so was Poppop's Austin Healey! Bobby got to sit in a race car and on an old tractor. It was brutally hot, but we stuck it out long enough to see Poppop get a trophy for his car!

So, it's been quite some time since I've gotten to the computer to update... so, here goes. I'll just try to highlight some of our adventures so far this summer. Enjoy!

Math Wiz!

Bobby got an award on his last day of Kindergarten - Math Wiz! I'm so proud of him, and he looks pretty proud of himself, too!

Bye Bye Kindergarten!

Today is Bobby's last day of Kindergarten! I have to say, he had a great year! He even made fun of me this morning because I still have two more days - little stinker!

Boating Trip

We went out on Poppop's boat on Sunday and it was a beautiful day! When we turned around at the lighthouse, we saw two groups of dolphins playing in the water! It was amazing! Of course, I didn't have time to get my camera before they were gone! Maybe next time...
